Dear Parents

We hope you all well and keeping safe. St Wulstan’s staff and Academy Committee Representatives are keeping well and continue to work towards supporting our school community. We are all looking forward to the time when we are back together and pray that it will happen as quickly as is safe for everyone.

As well as our present children we are also now thinking of our new Intake of Reception children who are presently in the process of accepting their offer of a place for Reception September 2020. We have put a new tab on the website ’Reception Class 2020’. Under this tab the Reception Class team of Mrs Portman, Mrs Harris and Mrs Freeman, will be adding photographs and activity ideas to help the children prepare for school. As soon as we have our final list of children we will be in touch with further information but please explore this class area in the meantime.

A few parents have mentioned they are running out of books. This may well be because of sticking all worksheets in. Perhaps try and limit this by keeping these in folders. I am reluctant to suggest attending school premises to collect more due to managing social distancing. We will await further guidance from the Government next week regarding school closure and then, should we need to address it, we will put a process in place for safe collection.

Please keep an eye on the school website and our Facebook page where we will continue to upload any information and guidance during school closure under the Coronavirus tab.

Can I also remind you that If anyone has, at anytime, a concern regarding a child’s well being or a safeguarding concern please email the school office secretary@wulsev.worcs. sch.uk ,  or telephone 01299 877808 immediately. The important thing now is to keep well, keep safe and stay at home and we look forward to all being back together.

Many of our families are presently going through massive changes in their employment, family circumstances or entering times of financial hardship. It could be that they are eligible for some support through Free Schools Meals. Further information and online application can be found on www.worcestershire.gov.uk even if only for a short time measure this could help.

Again your children’s photographs from home are a joy to receive and thank you for continuing to send them to us. Next week’s work will be uploaded ready for 5pm on Sunday and a push notification will be sent. Hopefully the rain will ease and we can all spread out again into our gardens this weekend. Gardening Club members remember to keep those sunflowers and pumpkin plants watered and cared for! Mrs Brown is awaiting news of plants of epic proportions!

God bless and take care, from all the staff

Well done to all our children!
