Dear Parents

We hope you all well and keeping safe. We are all looking forward to the time when we are back together and pray that it will happen as quickly as is safe for everyone.

As we end this week we are all obviously anxious to hear on Sunday what direction the Government are going to take on lockdown and school closure. There is no point in our surmising but please be reassured that as soon as there is information to share we will be in contact with all parents. It is crucial that everyone has access to the school website where information will be posted and also to the School Life app which will notify parents when new information is uploaded to the website.

Can I also remind you that If anyone has, at anytime, a concern regarding a child’s well being or a safeguarding concern please email the school office secretary@wulsev.worcs. sch.uk ,  or telephone 01299 877808 immediately.

Many of our families are presently going through massive changes in their employment, family circumstances or entering times of financial hardship. It could be that they are eligible for some support through Free Schools Meals. Further information and online application can be found on www.worcestershire.gov.uk even if only for a short time measure this could help.

As well as our present children we are also now thinking of our new Intake of Reception children who are presently in the process of accepting their offer of a place for Reception September 2020. If you have not yet accepted your place online can I please prompt you to do so.

Mrs Brown was delighted to receive photographs from our Gardening Club. She is missing you but is thrilled with the enthusiasm shown by all our children in developing their gardening skills.

A message from Mrs Freitas:Dear boys and girls, we hope you and your families are all well.
We are in the month of May and we would have liked to have a procession to honour Our Lady at school. Since we are all still at home, we teachers would like to ask you children and your families to set up a little altar at home to honour Our Lady. Also, use these days to pray a decade of the Rosary. There are so many people in our communities and around the world that need our prayers.

We also hope to see more photographs of your Mary prayer areas. Do not worry if you don’t have a statue of Mary, blue or white cloth, candles and a prayer will create a lovely focal point or even a small spot in the garden with small stones creating a cross beside your flowers.

Again your children’s photographs from home are a joy to receive and thank you for continuing to send them to us. Next week’s work will be uploaded ready for 5pm on Sunday and a push notification will be sent.

We hope all our families have an enjoyable May Bank Holiday weekend.

God bless and take care, from all the staff

Well done to all our children!
