Dear Parents

I would like to start this week's newsletter by congratulating our Year 4 children who received their First Holy Communion last Saturday. Their Mass was beautiful and the children conducted themselves with great reverence and dignity and were once again a credit to you their parents and to their school. This weekend we are excited to celebrate again with our second group of Year 4 children. Please remember all our children in your prayers as they receive this wonderful Sacrament. Congratulations to Benicia. Dalicia. Finlay. Senara, Lucas, Henry, Annabelle, Amelia  and we look forward to sharing their friends photograph in next week's newsletter

The recent Group photographs are now ready to view and purchase at  http://htmp.st/StWulstansPrim

There will be a “deliver to school” option open for approx. 14 days, otherwise home delivery is available for £5 postage and packing.  If you need assistance please call  01736 751555 (option 3) or click on contact us on the home page.

On Monday 28 June at 6pm we are holding our annual New Intake Evening for parents of children starting at St Wulstan’s in September. Even if you already have a child in school it is important that you attend this meeting as this will be an opportunity to give you information and for you to ask any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing many of you then. We do have a limited number of spaces available in Reception for September. If you know anyone who is new to the area or unsure about the place they have been offered please ask them to contact me for a visit. Thank you.

Our uniform suppliers, Marks and Spencers, have contacted us to say they are almost ready to begin the M&S Back to School 2021 campaign and are just finishing the final bits of embroidery and print for all their schools.

Once again they will be running a 20% off promotion and this year it is due to start on 29th June until 3rd August.  This will apply to all products on our bespoke Schoolwear page as well as on core uniform on M&S.com and in stores too.

It was with great sadness that we learned this week of the death of Mr Chris Trickett. Chris was one of the first school Governors when St Wulstan's opened in 1978 and continued to serve on our Governing Body for many, many years. His deep faith, business acumen, generosity of spirit and humour helped create the wonderful school and community we are today. He is much loved and will be greatly missed. Please remember Chris' wife Barbara and their family in your prayers.

Wulstan's Lodge will be running Holiday Club this summer, please see the attached flers for further information.

This week the Kidderminster Harriers came in to work with the Year 6 pupils. It was a great start to the week because they learnt all about the important foods to fuel our bodies. Towards the end of the week, the children analysed the poem ‘Kraken’ written by Victorian author Alfred Tennyson and have been working really hard on their own poems. They are looking forward to sharing the end result next week.

Since half term the children in Reception have been enjoying the lovely weather and have been taking the opportunity to use our outdoor area. The children were also excited to take part in some activities with Kidderminster Harriers this week.

Congratulations to our Year 4 children on their First Holy Communion

We hope everyone has a lovely weekend with their families.
