Dear Parents and Carers

Yesterday was Christmas Party day, and as ever it was really lovely day of fun and laughter for everyone. It is a great tradition of St Wulstan’s and I know there are many parents who remember the day from their own childhoods. The children, although very excited, were very polite and we were so pleased to hear all the ‘thank yous’ when Father Christmas arrived with a gift for all. We were very grateful he took time out of his busy schedule to call in to visit us!

Today Fr Richard joined us to celebrate our final Mass of the year which was a lovely occasion. We are very grateful for the support we receive from Father and the parish community. After Mass we were able to award our 100% attendance certificates for this term to forty children across the school. Well done children!

Christmas Masses will be celebrated at both Stourport and Bewdley churches. On Christmas Eve the Christmas Vigil Mass is at 5.30pm on Christmas Eve at St Wulstan's church with the later Vigil Mass at 8.00pm at Holy Family Bewdley. Christmas morning Mass is at 10.00am at St Wulstan's Stourport.

A reminder to all Year 5 families that tickets for the Emmaus Pyramid Concert in February are now on sale. The concert, this year held at Birmingham Symphony Hall, is a fabulous very memorable event. The Year 5 children are working so hard with Mr Mallinson from Hagley High School to ensure they perform to the very best of their ability. Tickets can be purchased via ParentPay at £5.00 per ticket. There will also be a DVD of the evening , again to order on ParentPay at £5.00. Any queries please do not hesitate to contact either Miss Mc Gowan or the school office.

As you are aware  AIP our school meals provider from January. Lunches for the first week back in January must be ordered by 25 December. Thank you.

A reminder that applications for Reception Class September 2023 must be completed online by 15 January at Worcestershire Children First. www.worcestershire.gov.uk/info/20099/school_admissions      If you need any help or support please contact either myself or Mrs Brown . If you know of anyone who is looking at school places please encourage them to contact me for a tour of our lovely school.

I’d like to end this week’s newsletter, on behalf of the staff, by thanking all of you for the many lovely Christmas cards, messages and gifts you have given us and wishing you all a happy and holy Christmas. It has been a very busy term and I think the children (and staff) are all ready for a well -deserved break. School closes today for the Christmas holiday and re-opens for the children on Wednesday 4 January.

With every best wish for a happy and holy Christmas and a very happy 2023 from all the staff.
