Dear Parents

We hope you all well and keeping safe. Thank you for all the wonderful work we are receiving from your children. As I have said previously we understand the challenges faced by families juggling so much at the moment. Please continue to contact us if you need any support accessing the remote learning or are in any way struggling with everything. We will do whatever we can to support you.

Next week is National Children’s Mental Health Week. We are all very aware of the limits on our children’s lives at the moment and the impact this can have on their mental wellbeing. Working infront of a screen is only one element of this, further added to by the fact that much of their free time involves screen as well. Next week’s our remote learning will include activities that can support the children’s mental health with an added bonus of a totally screen free day Friday. The children will be able to enjoy ‘off curriculum’ activities which hopefully will add variety and fun to their (and your) day. Your children's teachers will share more next week.

The social aspect of Lockdown as we all know is so challenging so if you and your child have not joined in a Zoom yet please try to this week. The children are not under any pressure to say more than they wish but it’s an important element of them keeping in touch emotionally.

With regards to Key Worker children in school, can I please remind parents that if a child has any sign of illness-cold, headache, sore throat, cough, tummy ache or temperature- that you do not send them in. In light of increased infection rates and the prevalence of the new variant in Worcestershire we cannot take any unnecessary chances in school.

Can I also remind you that If anyone has, at anytime, a concern regarding a child’s well being or a safeguarding concern please email the school office secretary@wulsev.worcs. sch.uk, or telephone 01299 877808 immediately. The important thing now is to keep well, keep safe and stay at home and we look forward to all being back together.

Many of our families are presently going through massive changes in their employment, family circumstances or entering times of financial hardship. It could be that they are eligible for some support through Free Schools Meals. Further information and online application can be found on www.worcestershire.gov.uk even if only for a short time measure this could help. If any support is required please ring Mrs Brown in the office who will be able to help !

Today,I include an update letter from our CSEL, Suzanne Horan. Please click on the link at the bottom of this page.

Please keep an eye on the school website and Facebook page where we will continue to upload any information and guidance during school closure under the Coronavirus tab.

Well done to all our children who have submitted a super week’s work again! We look forward to seeing even more next week.

God bless, with much love to all our children and families from all the staff.

Well done to all our children for their wonderful work again this week. We are very proud of you all!
