Welcome to our Reception Class Page for September 2023 intake. Thank you for choosing St Wulstan's; we can't wait to welcome you and your child into our wonderful school.
Click on the file below to read a story about Suzie's first day at school. To begin with, Suzie is feeling very nervous but by the end of the day she can't wait to tell her mum and dad about all of the lovely things she has done at school! It would be nice to read this with your child to help them begin to understand what school will be like!
I am Mrs Portman. I am Reception class teacher on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I am looking forward to meeting you all very soon and sharing lots of exciting times together!!
My name is Mrs Harris and I teach Reception on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I am looking forward to meeting you all soon.
You will soon be receiving a welcome letter and induction pack. Within this pack there will be forms for you to fill out and return to school at our welcome meeting which will be held on Monday 19th June 2023 at 6:00pm. The meeting will give you the opportunity to meet the staff of St Wulstan's and find out some more about what your child will be doing when they come to school in September. We will also be discussing transition dates and the date that will be your child's first day of school.
Within the induction pack you will find an email address for Reception. Please send an email with a photo and a short pargraph to introduce your child. It is nice for us to be able to put names to the faces we have on our list.
We are looking forward to meeting you all on Monday 19th June.
Details about the uniform can be found in the parent information PowerPoint.
I have also linked the website to buy uniform with our school logo. Children do not have to have this so please do not feel like you have to buy only uniform with a logo on. You will also find the book bag and PE bag on this link.
We have linked some files for you and your child to have a look at to help prepare them for Reception. Please do not worry if your child cannot do some of these things as we are always there to help!
